“No $ex Before Marriage” Belief Must Be Changed – Akosua Agyepong

Akosua Agyepong, a legendary Ghanaian highlife musician and television personality, has stated that the “no sex before marriage” belief should be reconsidered and altered.

The traditional belief that engaged couples must refrain from sexually related activities until they marry, according to her, needs to be reconsidered and changed because it is causing a slew of problems in society.

The ‘Kokooko’ hitmaker explained as a guest on GhOne’s Duvet show that this age-old moral principle is causing significant problems for partners who are mostly dissatisfied in their marriage because they did not know their partners sexually prior to marriage.

She continued, “Marriage is a significant and life-altering commitment, as well as the most significant investment a person can make in their life.” She also stated that individuals must be sexually compatible before marrying.

“The ‘no sex before marriage’ rule needs to be changed.” I am now in favour of change. E dey cause a lot of issues. As you may be aware, your man may be impotent. Maybe your lady would prefer something else. “There is an issue,” she said in pidgin.

The veteran singer’s viewpoint calls into question a long-held belief about premarital sex that has been echoed in religious doctrine. While some people agree with her, others believe that adhering to traditional values that encourage abstinence is the best way forward.
