Ghanaian defender Jerome Opoku completes his transfer to Istanbul Basaksehir of Turkey

Jerome Opoku, a Ghanaian international, will play in the Turkish Super Lig during the 2023–24 football season.
On Thursday, September 14, the powerful defender finalized a loan deal with Istanbul Basaksehir of Turkey.
The club stated in a statement that the defender could be retained permanently after his loan period is over.
“Our club has agreed to a loan with a purchase option with Jerome, a player for the Portuguese team Arouca, through the end of the 2023–2024 season.
Istanbul Basaksehir released a statement on behalf of the club, saying, “We welcome Jerome Opoku to our family and wish him success with our orange-dark blue jersey.”

The 24-year-old Jerome Opoku has previously lived in England and Denmark. He is thrilled to be relocating to Istanbul Basaksehir and is prepared to put in a lot of effort to succeed in Turkey.
