Everton has just announced the appointment of Sean Dyche as their new manager, signing a contract for a duration of two and a half years.
Everton FC has named Sean Dyche as their new manager with a two and a half year contract until 2025. The 51-year-old Englishman will replace former manager Frank Lampard, who was dismissed after winning only 12 out of 44 games. Dyche will make his debut as the manager in the Premier League match against Arsenal at Goodison Park on February 4th.
Sean Dyche expressed his enthusiasm for his new role as Everton manager, saying that he and his staff are ready to work hard to bring success to the club. He believes that there is quality in the squad, but it needs to be refined. Dyche aims to change the shape of the club, creating an organizational and tactical structure that allows players the freedom to play with confidence and joy, all while prioritizing winning.
Bill Kenwright, the Chairman of Everton, stated that after meeting with Sean over the past few days, both he and Kevin were convinced of Sean’s qualities that make him a strong candidate for the position of Everton manager, and he has the potential to inspire the team’s fan base. Additionally, Farhad shared the same sentiment after meeting Sean.
Along with Dyche, three other individuals who previously worked with him at Burnley will be joining the team at Everton. Ian Woan, a former Nottingham Forest winger, will serve as Assistant Manager, Steve Stone, a former England international, will be the First-Team Coach, and Mark Howard will support sports science efforts.
